Travel on Caravan Repairs
Warranty Terms & Conditions
Warranty Coverage
Labour performed by Travel on Caravan Repairs is warranted for a period of three (3) months from the date of service against defects in workmanship.
Our warranty covers the workmanship and installation carried out by Travel on Caravan Repairs only. We are not responsible for the failure of components or parts unrelated to the work performed.
A service or inspection reflects the condition of the caravan and its accessible components at the time the work is carried out. It does not guarantee the future condition or continued operation of any component, nor does it constitute an assessment of the caravan for the purposes of a subsequent sale or transfer of ownership.
Our workmanship warranty applies to the original customer only and is not transferable upon the sale or transfer of ownership of the caravan.
Parts supplied by the customer are fitted at the customer's request and are not covered by our warranty.
Parts Warranty
New parts supplied by Travel on Caravan Repairs are covered by the applicable manufacturer's warranty and are subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions.
Dometic parts supplied by us are covered by a three (3) month manufacturer's warranty only.
No warranty is provided by Travel on Caravan Repairs on second-hand, reconditioned, used or customer-supplied parts.
Warranty Claims
Any warranty concern must be reported to Travel on Caravan Repairs as soon as reasonably practicable after the issue is identified.
Travel on Caravan Repairs must be given the opportunity to inspect the reported concern and, where applicable, carry out any warranty rectification.
Repairs or alterations undertaken by a third party without our prior written approval may void our labour warranty where those repairs or alterations affect the work in question.
Our workmanship warranty does not cover faults or damage resulting from normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, accident, subsequent modifications or repairs, deterioration of existing components, or faults unrelated to the work originally performed.
Warranty coverage relates only to the work specified on the original invoice and does not extend to other components of the caravan simply because they were inspected or checked during a service.
Servicing & Inspections
A standard caravan service involves inspection and servicing of accessible components only. It is not a dismantling or comprehensive mechanical, structural or pre-purchase inspection.
Items recorded as “checked” or “inspected” on our service sheet indicate their observable condition or operation at the time of service and do not mean that the component has been replaced, rebuilt or guaranteed against future failure.
Components can deteriorate, wear or fail after inspection. Their condition may also be affected by subsequent use, travel, loading, storage, road conditions, adjustment, maintenance or work performed by others.
Where access to a component is restricted, inspection is limited to what can reasonably and safely be assessed at the time of service.
Replacement of components identified during a service is not included unless specifically quoted, authorised and recorded on the invoice.
Ownership of Goods & Payment
All parts supplied and installed by Travel on Caravan Repairs remain the property of Travel on Caravan Repairs until payment has been received in full.
Payment is due upon completion of the work unless prior written arrangements have been made.
Where payment is outstanding, any further or return work may be postponed until the account has been paid in full and will then be subject to our next available appointment.
Australian Consumer Law
These warranty terms apply in addition to any rights and remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
